1. Gotan Project, a French group (with several collaborators, many from Buenos Aires, on this CD) continue to be among the more interesting contributors to the genre of 'electrotango'. I find "Lunatico" even better than their earlier ""La revancha del tango"/5(49).

The album is named Lunático after the racehorse of legendary tango master Carlos Gardel.. The album features a collaboration with the American band Calexico recorded in Tucson, Arizona, and a cover of the Ry Cooder song Paris, Texas.

The cd takes the blend of tango and electronics to another level; most tracks are more classical tango tracks with electronic support than the other way around. A brilliant cd that you can play on a lazy sunday in the background or you can move to when you up the volume/5(79).

9. About Gotan Project. In the techno age, setting tango to electronic beats should have been an obvious project --but it wasn't.
